Anyone around this weekend for a few games? I think Friday night might work best for me. We all built these new decks but then only played them once.
Also, anyone around for the Superbowl? I picked up an over-the-air HDTV tuner on clearance yesterday. The Superbowl will be broadcast in High Definition Widescreen this year and my new tuner can pull it in. I watched Leno in HDTV last night - the difference was just amazing!
Notes on SuperBowl:
quote:Sunday, Jan. 26 Super Bowl XXXVII San Diego, Calif. Oakland Raiders vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6:00 pm EST, on ABC in HDTV
ABC will use between 7 & 12 HDTV cameras. This is still being determined, as of 3pm EST 1/24/03.
The HDTV video will be a discrete production, meaning we'll get 16:9 shot composition.
The audio will be identical (same announcers, etc) to the NTSC telecast, but will be in Dolby Digital 5.1 format for the HDTV telecast.
The HDTV telecast will begin at approximately 6PM EST and conclude with the game, which includes the half time show. The pre & post game programs will not be in HDTV.
There will be some SD 4:3 shots interspersed with the HDTV shots. This may also include some replays.

The tournament should only occupy us for saturday only. You have to make the top 3rd or 4th of the field to make it to sunday. (as far as i know) Which baring a miracle or half the competition going suddenly blind, will most likely not happen.
Thus i have already made plans for sunday.
I would be up for playing friday.
Luke,
You should go preregister online for the tournament it might save us having to stand in line for an hour or more on sat morning.
