I can probably play sometime this weekend.

Are we going to be ok on guns for the cabin trip. I think there are 7 people and I know 6 new guns. Mike did you say Nick will have an extra? Otherwise we could send Brad to Walmart to buy one of those $40 semi auto pumps [Smile] . We will probably be short one mask for sure.

How many paint balls should each person have? And tanks? Anyone have an idea?

I think one person would have to realy try to burn up 2000 balls in two days with the number of people we will have. I will probably bring 2500 I am getting 2 16oz tanks in addition to the 9oz in the package. If I burn through all that then it's time to drink anyway.

Where did you get thoes coupons?!

I'll take that coupon.

I am bringing 2500 for myself and luke will probably bring 2000. I wanted to wait until I had my gun in hand before buying a bunch of stuff so this week thrus or friday I will go get some paint, tanks, etc. I'll also be going to a military surpluss stor for some stuff thurs or friday. I am gonna get some camo paint from somewhere too.

I want to play on saturday at the place off 42 in east rosemount. "Adventure Zone Paintball" i think the company is called. They have open play from noon to 6pm. I have been to three different places around the twin cities and that was the best one. 4 fields great setup. But kinda expensive.

20$ field fee for the day
10$ surcharge for outside paint
Bring your own paint because they bend you over at the field for paint

Give that coupon, for the gun, to who ever it is that needs to buy a cheap gun localy. Galyans has the best prices localy for markers and they have a very good selection from cheap to extravgant.

I just want the one for the paint.

Ok, I just checked the coupon is for 15% off paint. I got the four guns today. Now I just need to go fill the tanks. Does Galyans do that?

Sportmart had the gun I referenced below for $49 marked down from $129 - I doubt Galyans can beat that [Smile]

There was also a decent looking kit at wal-mart yesterday for only like 85 bucks. It was marked down from like 100 or so. It even had a red dot sight with the kit.

Hauser - any word on if you will get your gun (marker) before the trip? There is only one $49 gun left at Sportmart - if Brad needs to buy it we shouldn't wait much longer.

I am just waiting to get an email back from the guy selling it. He is local so I can make the purchase as soon as he responds with a good day. I am trying but I don't want any pissiness if I don't get it. Hopefully I will have it by early next week for you to take up. I will update you on Monday...

Brad asked me to pick up that VL Orion marker at Sportmart that was on clearance. SO we should be fine - but if you get your gun before we leave we should probably take it with as a back up.

Brad here is a review of your new $40 gun [Smile]

Dosen't sound too bad actually!

I think we need to all pitch in $10 and get a chrono to test the speed of our guns. Mine seems to be a little "hot" and I wouldn't want to be shot by a gun that's set up for over 300fps. I have heard that 320 will shatter goggles.... I read on paintball-forum.com that Walmart sells a $40 version that works ok - but I didn't see any when I was there. Probably the best place to get one is at a paintball store.

Holy, you think we will shoot 2500 balls each?

I was planning on maybe one more 20oz tank between the two of us.

It looks like we should get around 1000-1400 balls on a 20oz - 200-300 on a 9oz.

I hopefully will be getting my gun tomorrow. *crosses fingers* If I do, I will drop it off at Chad's or give it to Luke to bring up.

I found a place in Annandale that had the Chrono's in stock for a decent price ($70). Steve is returning from Thief River today and is going to pick it up.

It will be $10 each.

My first test showed 294fps. So they are set a little hot from the factory. I understand that with CO2 temperature makes a big difference.

Had a lot of fun on Saturday playing - the semi trailer turned out to be a great prop.

My favorite game was the one where the 4 defenders jumped out of the trailer and had 30 seconds to get ready before the 3 attackers were to attack. Chad however forgot this small rule and started shooting as we were picking up our guns. I had enough time to jump into the wood pile as Luke and Steve both got hit. I was pinned down because it was now 3v2 and Brad got hit within 30 sec. I gave up [Frown]

LOL - it was fun Chad I am just giving you shit. I wasn't mad - but your brother was since he got hit pretty much before he had taken his barrel plug out. I was just lucky I guess, and jumped into the wood pile. I was completely pinned down by crossfire from both sides which was kinda scary with paint flying everywhere. Fun tho....

My gun worked great - didn't break one ball with the stock barrel.

The last game, I hit Steve a bunch of times but none of the balls broke. I figured it out after the game that my CO2 was low. Check FPS often is my point.

Everyone should get radios with ear pieces for group communication.

Red dot sight was useful in some situations but up close it was all spray and prey.

Clear hoppers aren't good for woodsball - they give away your position by showing the bright colored balls inside.

200 ball hoppers are usually good enough.

Steve and I used about 1200-1500 balls between us.

Cool. I did get my gun on Thursday. While test firing it before I bought it, The banjo nut that adjusts the velocity blew off so I have it in the shop by my house getting that piece put back into it. That should be done Wednesday so if anyone is up for paintball this weekend (Chad mentioned Sunday) I also would be up for it. I will look around pricewise at the local PB places and see who has the best price to go there and shoot. I doubt we would get enough people to play out by my house for free. Did brad's gun shoot okay?

I might be able to do Sunday. Mike said he could play. I would really prefer to get a bunch of us together and try your field over playing somewhere with a bunch of random people (but that's just me).

Brad's gun shot pretty well, I think.

I would like to play with more people. I am going to play at the rosemount place unless you can get like 10 or more people. Playing just us is fine but playing with more people is more fun IMO.

"More fun also" = more expensive in this case [Wink]

I don't care what we do but cheap is definately better for me...

I will look at loal fields and prices on the mnpig.com site...

Already did look around.

There are very few quality outdoor fields in the TC. Rosemount is one of them.

Annandale is also good from what I have heard fromt the paintball shops and cheaper but it's way to far away. I have not heard good things about the hudson place.

If you cant aford 20$ to play paint ball for the day you should'nt have bought the gun mike.

I don't have alot of money to throw around either but that dosnt mean I cant cough up 20$ for an afternoon of great fun and excersize.
