Mars Odyssey successfully entered orbit around Mars. It communicated with ground crews within one second of the estimated blackout time after it traveled behind Mars. It is the first successful arrival at Mars since the 1999 failures of Mars Climate Orbiter and Mars Polar Lander.

Tranyland will not be on Mars. We need to be able to rape, pillage and plunder ocean going vessles.

If Tranyland was on Mars, you could claim the whole planet as yours. That way you could tax anything on the planet or in its orbit.

Steve said it best. Youve seen Total Recall. It's a giant fucking sand box. What grows in sand? Though if I could rapidly teraform Mars, It might work rather well.
