Originally posted by mikey: [QB] I can't figure out why nobody even considers that Sadam could be behind this attack. I really think that Osama would claim responsibility if in fact he had planned this. Besids Sadam knows first hand what we can do to a country when we put our minds to it. So why wouldn't he set up Osama for the attack? That way Iraq gets some revenge (quietly) and Osama is set up for the blame. I wonder what relations are like between Iraq and Afghanastan? I don't pretend to know, but if they are somewhat enemies this would make even more sense. I do give Sadam enough credit to predict that we would immediatly suspect Osama and that we would hold a government responsible no matter what (rightfully so). I think he has the means. There has to be many sons of lost fathers to the war that would be more than willing to give their lives for payback. Mostly I'm thinking out loud here. These are just some thoughts that have been racing around my brain (it's a short track!) Please post some of your thoughts on this theory I would love to hear some input [This message has been edited by mikey (edited 09-13-2001).] [/QB]
