Gotta love the prevent (win) defense. So what if you could possibly give up a big play. Lets play back so far that the other team is guaranteed to drive down the field with a bunch of short plays. And the wonderful 3 and out offense they have had latey doesn't help much. Why not try playing offense like the rams? They throw slants and walk right down the field on just about anyone. Or is that anyone who's defense sucks as bad as the Vikings. And whats with Smith blowing out a knee? I haven't heard about that at all. The only injury I'm aware of is Cullpepers ankle.

I Really like Chris Walsh as well. He, i think, will be the vikings new (and with less atitude) 3rd down/goal line reciver in the coming years. He actually reminds me a lot of Ed McCaffry who as far as im concerned is one of the most talanted, well tempered, build from steel, team players in the game right now.

guess the last pro sport to get completly fucked up by money was the nhl. now that they are just as bad as nfl,mlb,nba etc. THEY ALL CAN GO TO HELL!!!! i was into pro sports very heavily, going to many games, and staying untill the end, no matter what, but i would rather stay home and beat-off, then waste money on some pro sport. it just dosent matter to me. im ok with the fact that our pro teams always suck.

It's a little odd to hear this coming from someone who works for a pro sports team but I have to agree. The NHL's ticket prices are aproaching ludicrous, right up there with the NBA. Back in the days of Met Center, the most expensive ticket you could buy was about $30 for lower level seats between the blue lines. The prices from there were $22, $16 and $8. Now you can barely get an upper level seat for $30 (there are some $10 seats on the ends but good luck getting them). The lower level starts at $45 and goes on up to $150 for "on the glass" seats, it's madness. And the Xcel Center is considered one of the most affordable venues in the NHL. I can't imagine what it must cost for premium seats in Madison Square Garden or somewhere like that. Parking isn't too bad but that's generally about $10 and concessions are pretty steep. Makes it hard to take a family of four to a game and spend less than $200.

yes!!
in 84-85 north stars season, i went to 28 regular season home games. there was a " coupon " on the back of milk cartons for half-price tickets. then there were the play-offs. went to both home games. then in 85-86, i went to 30 regular season games, and then also the play-offs.
then you have the 87 twins... i went to 18 or so home games, and all the alcs, and world series games. it was a lot of fun, but there is no way i would do it now. my wonder of pro athletes, or " famous " people has definatly worn off, and could care less about them. they dont live in the real world, or very few of them do. its not a real interest of mine anymore.
I think I might do this every week. I was gental I want good clean trash talk. Not Hate mail.

Hi all, I'm back. A triumphant return to the world after 16 days of active duty, guarding/feeding/talking to these truly fucked up yahoos. Cramer and Pfaff are now completely normal in my eyes after seeing some of these people.
Anyways, just got back from the Wild game last night, 3-3 tie w/the Sharks, and I have to say, I'm watching hockey this year. The fucking Vikes almost lost a 31-6 lead...I know why. I didn't see White Lightnin in on any plays other than special teams.
But, I'm here, and I'm coming to the CABIN this weekend so I'm excited. GO WILD!

Okay I'll initiate the start of the Randy Moss rant.
First, everybody is making too big a deal of this. If it had been anybody else (and yes someone else would or could have done the same thing), nobody would have even heard of it. I'm sure traffic cops see stupid shit all the time. My take is, what the fuck is wrong with the traffic cop. Is she retarded!! I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure that if a vehicle is trying to make a turn (even an illegal one) you don't get in front of it. I mean maybe I'd die for my country in protecting our peace, but not so our traffic can move smoothly. She had no idea who was in the vehicle. The person could easily had run her over if they wanted. Any reasonable person would have got out of the way, took the license plate number down and notified authorities. She needs to seriously rethink her priorities.
Moss on the other hand is a football player. I don't give a fuck what he does off the football field. I don't condone what he did (just like I wouldn't condone anybody doing the same), but it doesn't change my feeling for him on the football field. The guy is an amazing ball player and Minnesota is lucky to have him as thier wide receiver. Would we want him coming in here and tearing up our defense? Len Pasquerelli from ESPN thinks we should trade or release him because of this. How does this effect his ability to play football? Who cares his public image is bad, his football image is not. He is paid to play football not appease a 'Minnesota Nice' public. And for those of you who are going to argue, "What has he done for us this year?" need to look at Culpepper and not Moss for the Vikings shortcomings. I have not seen any consistency in Culpepper's throws. We just expect Moss to go and make a near impossible catch every time the ball is thrown to him. Maybe if Culpepper could get the ball within his reach it would be feasible. I mean come on, Moss is one tall motherfucker and Culpepper keeps sailing those balls over his head and then yells at Randy on the sideline for his own shortcomings.

Randy Moss Is the biggest piece of shit ever. First off Moss is a complete idiot for doing what he did. However, he did not receive a felony charge (maybe should have) so whoppie fucking do about this whole thing. I heard scores of people (I believe 10% were real) call in and say this bitch that sat on his hood was like the traffic nazi, known all over downtown for her attitude. But - like it or not he does have talent Chad. He draws at least a double team eveytime he steps on the field. And when the ball is thrown somewhat near him he will catch it from time to time. Did you see that hit he laid out last Sunday while blocking for Daunte? I think he has "tried" a lot harder this year.

So when it comes right down to it, how does this make him different from ANY other reciever in the NFL? ANY joe schmo can catch a ball "from time to time" We expect more from a super star. There are not many other players that get the "respect" on the field that Moss gets... He is always double/triple covered - this opens up the field for the other receivers/running game. Now if Dante would give the other receivers a look we might not be 0-3.

This guy is not worth the time that I have wasted on this discussion, I have not liked him since he was a rookie, he was, and continues to be a pansy ass bastard. After the water/ref episode, it cemented my opinion on him. I do not care what he does with this team, or for the rest of his lame ass kareer in th nfl. He is a loser, he might have money, but he will not someday, and he will not have an education to fall back on, so he will return home to the 'hood, and hang with all his 'boyz, and all will be good.
He is one more example from that fine group he represents. The lack of education and respect for others really has shown itself, I do not find it suprising at all. His current situation was brought on by his own stupid ass, and somehow he will get off of all of it, just like anyone with money would.

Randy's contract if i am not mistaken is 70 millon over 8 years?
70/8 = 8.75 million/yr
Lets say they play the most possible games that they could every season which is if they as a wild card went to the super bowl (a bit unrealistic that the vikes would ever get there but bear with me)
16 regular season games +4 playoff games = 20 games
8.75/20 = 437,500$/game Lets say the offense is on the field half of the time. So 30 mins of plays.
So he gets AT LEAST, 14,000 per min of actual play. So every time he takes 1 min of "work" off i could take 14 weeks off? OK IM UP FOR THAT!!!!

Money in this case is actually irrelevant. I'm sure your employer thinks he is paying you a lot of money for your job. Therefore to be doing anything but work is costing your employer money. When you are tired or worn out or burned out do you do all your tasks at 100%. Your employer thinks you should.
I'm guessing you take a couple of plays off and try to rejuvenate some energy. The thing is we aren't stupid enough to tell them that we'll work when we want to and nobody is going to make us work. I find it very hard to understand how anyone could listen to and watch this guy on that espn nfl Sunday countdown show, and think for an instant that he has any sense whatsoever, or any respect for himself or this GAME!
