Boon - what RSS reader do you currently use? Firefox will read the content island from NC but I would like something that notifies me when there is a new post etc (other then my email).

I use one called RSSReader

http://www.download.com/RssReader/3000-9227_4-10237043.html?tag=lst-0-1

It gives you a notification when it updates your feeds. You can have it check ever 10 minutes up to a couple hours.

It's nice...kinda has an outlook look to it.

With Sharp Reader I don't get the content, just the author and the fact that there is a new post. Do you guys get the whole message displayed with yours?

Just author and title is what it sends.

Nevermind, I fixed it.

Boon I like that reader - pretty cool. Wish you could set it for every couple minutes tho....

Or even a real-time (that's a lot to ask though)

I have about 50 feeds that update every hour at work (Tech news, world news, Netflix news, gaming sites, Dilbert, etc etc etc) so I can imagine that it's a little bit of badnwidth and setting it more frequently would slow down the your connection.

Anyway, very useful for me because I don't want to spend 5 hours browsing Gizmodo for new products, but I can glance at the RSS stuff and see if it's interesting...

In the RSS feeds, I just get the subject line.

Were you going to adjust it so it has the whole post?

That way I wouldn't have to go to Noncompliance.com to read them, just to respond to the ones I want to.

The content island only outputs the subject and author. There is a way through some coding to get more info but it's over my head at the moment.

Try SharpReader, it uses three panes so I can view within the software.
