Hey all-

I know I sent most of you an email asking for pledges, but if you didn't get it (or ignored it) and still want to sponsor either me or Tiff, here's the links.

We ride Saturday morning from Duluth to Hinckley, and Sunday morning we ride from Hinckley to White Bear Lake.

150 miles, 2 days, and hopefully not too much pain this time. [Wink]

Anyway, I'm close to hitting my goal, and Tiff just registered, so if you feel like giving a couple bucks, it's all done online.

Talk to you Monday!

SPONSOR TIFFANI

So they do it backwards now? I did that in H.S. We went the other direction tho.

Yeah, it's now Duluth to White Bear Lake...nice to finish and be able to just go HOME and fall asleep rather than have to ride a bus for 3 hours. [Wink]

Well, done with the ride, but not done with the fundraising.

Need $45 more $$ to reach my goal of $400.

If any of you want to donate like $10, that would help. [beer] I think I've given you that much money at poker EACH! [lol]

Mikey, thanks for your contribution!

Man dies on bike tour

NEWS TRIBUNE

A Mosinee, Wis., man is dead after he collided with another bicycle rider during the 300-mile 2005 MS TRAM Bike Tour Wednesday on the Iron Range.

Dale Everett Campbell, 62, was traveling with Kevin Duane Hamilton, 47, of Hastings, Minn., on state Highway 135 south of Tower when their bicycles collided at 11:15 a.m., according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Campbell died from head injuries at the scene. Hamilton escaped injury.

A State Patrol news release said one of the men rear-ended the other while heading north on the highway. The road conditions were dry. There was no indication if either man was wearing a helmet.

The accident occurred on the third day of the five-day bicycle tour. Nearly 1,400 bicyclists will make stops in five Northeastern Minnesota communities, including Duluth.

Wednesday's leg was a 67.5-mile loop from Giants Ridge Golf and Ski Resort to Tower and back.

"We're deeply saddened about this," Holly Anderson, spokeswoman for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Minnesota Chapter, told the Mesabi Daily News of Virginia.

Anderson had few details on the accident, but said the riders were going down a hill at the time.

The tour could raise $1 million for MS research, treatments and assistance.

You didn't hear?

Someone died on our ride too.

Got hit by a car...

No, I hadn't heard that!!! How long has it been since that has happened on any of the rides?!?

2 years ago someone had a heart attack and died, but I've only been doing it for the last 2 years so I don't know the history.

I would guess not that often... [lol]
