You forgot to state that no drinks were spilled on the table. One was spilled on a person, and one was spilled on the floor.

I played in a Satilite tournement for the Canterbury Fall Poker Classic main event yesterday morning. The buy-in was $100 and they pay out as many $1000 seats to the main event tournement as they can. Since there were 143 players, they paid out 14 spots.
I got down to about 70th place before getting knocked out. I had $2400 in chips left, with the blinds at 200-400. Some guy raised to $1200 infront of me and i had pocket kings and went all in. He called with pocket 3s, and rivered a 3 to take me out. Obviously, i was not happy considering if i won that hand i would have had almost $6000 in chips, which would have given me a good chance to win a seat. Also, it was pretty ironic considering i had just mucked pocket 2s and 3s pre-flop in the last few hands. Ill play them with a chip lead, but dont feel comfortable pushing in all my chips with them when there are 11 people at the table and there is still a long ways to go to get to the payout.
Oh well, im going to try again this coming sunday and hopefully have better luck. [ 08-09-2004, 14:57: Message edited by: Ender ]

Nice job. So you got a buy in to a higher tourney? Did you win cash also?

No cash, just the buy-in which is worth $215. So in essence I won $215 with the oppurtunity to win much more. 1st place is usually around $60,000.
