Update on Chad's Shitty DSL Service. After another 30 min on hold session, (was able to read 3 chapers in "The lord of the Rings" while on hold) I finally got someone on the phone with a clue and was able to tell me that the frontier servers DHCP service is out and so no one is getting vallid IP addresses over the WAN to access the internet. I guess i must not know as much about computers as i thought but does it really take 5 days to fix this kind of problem?

I know very little about computers, and no, it shouldn't take 5 days to fix a DHCP problem. They probably had bigger problems that they couldn't tell you about. I hope you got a rebate for the down-time.

If it took me 5 days to fix a problem like that at a customer's site I would probably be looking for a new job (or at least a REALLY good explanation,) and we'd loose that customer.

I never thought I'd say anything like this, but I think Frontqueer might be worse than Qworst.

Buck's cousin signed up for Frontqueer.net dial-up and they have 1 hr. & 40 min. hold times for customer service. What a fucking joke! As it turns out, they gave her the wrong phone number to dial!

How can such shitty places stay in business? I guess it's easy when you don't have a choice about who your phone company is...
