Played Counter-Strike 1.3 last night and it rocks! The hit box issues seem to be gone (until we find more). I unloaded a clip from the MP5 right into a guys chest and he actually died
The voice command was pretty cool – I heard other people talking, but you need to bind a key to the chat function – then hold it down when you talk. I guess while you press tab you can see who is voice enabled and click on their names and select mute if you don’t want to hear their shit. I speaker appears over the head of someone who is talking for easy ID.
I will try to play tonight on the server after climbing.

Just so you guys know - if you are running an ATI video card it will not work with the new version of CS (in open GL mode). Until they fix it you need to run in D3D mode.

Thats what you get for not running nvidia cards. I keep saying and preaching and telling and yelling. Nvidia Cards are the only way to go. Does anyone listen, noooooo first everyone thinks that voodoo was the shit, then they went belly up and had to be scooped up off the outhouse floor by nvidia. Now everyone seems to like ATI...and its already starting that they are proving they suck. Come on folks spend the money and get a real video card!!!!!!

Not to disagree about Nvidia cards, they're excellent products and seem to be a good match for games. However, from someone who's worked with their products and many others from working for an OEM, I can tell you that I ran into just as many problems with Nvidia as I did with ATI. This doesn't mean Nvidia is the messiah. It's likely that the software company is to blame for the incompatibility, not the hardware vendor. I'd question any company who can't make something "work" with a card/chipset as standard as an ATI.
