I am in need of replacement Swamper for my 4runner. One of mine has a bulge in it - so I am thinking of ordering two new ones before the 300 mile trip to the cabin. Where is the best place to order from these days???
I found 4wheel offroad parts - 33x12.5 Swamper radials $145 National Tire and Wheel - $138

Anyone know the difference between the Swamper TSL and the Swamper Radial TSL tire? A guy on the FJ-80 group has one TSL in the size I need, but I am running the radial version.

Radial is has radial ply construction. Smother less noisy road ride.
The standard swamper is bias ply construcion the plys of the tire run perpendicular to the direcion of travel. Thus it can have flat spots and be more prone to deformation.
But not only are they constructed differently they also are differnt dimensions and tread. 33x12.50-15 radial: Tread width = 9.4" Outer diameter: 32.7"
The standard 33x12.50-15 swamper: Tread width = 10.2" Outer diameter = 33.7"
see Swamper Website It really is a completely differnt tire.
I did alot of looking at 33" tires before selecting my goodyears. "But of course they still suck."

Thanks Chad. I will just order the pair from National Tire like I had planned. The guy still wanted $100 for the tire - I think the extra $30 for the correct tire is worth it.

Turns out that the guy actually has a TSL radial so I am going to buy it from him for $90 (it's brand new).
