I was talking today with a tech from ARB about air lockers for nissan aplications. He was giving me some info on my rear axle in my pathfinder.

Some interesting facts on this axle.

-Most H233B Nissan rear axles are disk brake from the factory with e-brake at the calipers not on the driveshaft.

-The axles are 33spline 1.31" diameter (pretty strong when compared with most everything under 1ton running gear.

-Both Detroit and ARB make Lockers for the diff.

-He also said that the ring gear is 9.2" and belived by many people at ARB to be stronger than the ford 9"

-The H233B's in pathfinders are already set up for coilover suspensions. Some modificaiton and they could be adapted into a custom 4 link system.

-It is the same rear axle that is used on almost all patrols of the 80's and 90's overseas. (the nissan landcruiser for those who are confused)
