Tomorrow I think. At lunch drove by the local theatre, lot was FULL. Usually on a weekdays it's about 10% full. Sounds like it has been getting great reviews from the average movie goer.

Just got back from seeing it.
Incredible.
The ends drags out a little bit as they tie-off most of the characters story lines, but up until then it's non-stop action.
There's this BIG SURPRISE where...
Jusk kidding; no spoilers.

See it.
See it again.
See it at a porn theater so you can masturbate while watching it.

AWSOME!!! One of the best movies ive ever seen and one of the only ones that has ever lived up to such a huge hype. I agree, the ending does drag on a little bit, but the movie overall is unreal!

Big suprize?? *thinks for a minute*

Thats what the whole damn movie felt like. Stunning... suprizing. Im not saying another word. [Wink]

There is not much I can say other than that this movie makes other movies like "Gladiator" seem like B movie trash.

If you've read the books nothing will surprise you.

There just isnt much else to say

Yeah, incredable movie. Great effects, action was awesome, and the acting was top notch. This movie had better win best picture or there is something seriously wrong with hollywood (as shown today by giving two Golden Globe nominations to the Reagan movie).

Oh, and non book readers.... There is ALOT cut out at the end... They were true to the book which I liked and didn't cheese the ending. I heard the extended version is going to be like 4:30 [Eek!]

Havent seen it yet, but I did already know that Jackson didn't like the end of the book {the overthrow of the shire} so he didn't even film the real ending. The book ending will NOT be in the extended ROTK.

Made me confused of why the extended TT even mentions the tobacco from the shire.......

Dont tell me tho [demon] [knife]

I liked it. Luke tried to hold my hand on the Spider scene...

Gisel, I was looking at the picture page and I do have to admit, you look pretty good for a gaming female. Having said that, don't expect any sympathy when we meet on the battlefield. I am a fighter first, lover second.

Pfft, right hauser. [Roll Eyes]

As for the extended edition, things im looking forward to that were left out of the movie are:
-The breaking of Sarumon's staff
-When Gandolf faces the witch king

Those are two of the best scenes in the book next to Shelob, which FUCKING RULED in the movie! [Big Grin]

Wow [Eek!] [Eek!] [Big Grin]

I need to let it gestate a bit. Sure I'll like it even more upon second viewing.
Not what I expected, in some of the ways they streamlined the story. There was a lot of story to try and convey in that book, and you had to expect some details would be missed.

I agree with the best picture claim... They have to give this project some sort of recognition, just for what they pulled off, and how well they did it.

A truely 5 star film... Lots come close, there's lots of 4.5's out there. But very few 5's.

Cant wait to see it again.

Nice sweep at the Oscars last night. I was so glad that none of the other garbage won and that Jackson finally got something for 8 years of work.

I thought Bill Murrey was going to cry when Sean Penn got the best actor award. I haven't seen Mystic River so I can't comment on the performances - but Murrey was great in lost in translation.

Yeah, im really glad it owned the Oscars last night. It definatly deserved it, and Jackson DEFINATLY deserved recognition for the incredible job he did on these movies. I was a little worried that they would give best director to Clint Eastwood, but im glad Jackson won.
