4 out of 5

Definatly a great movie, and a very interesting story based on real evidence of where the story of King Arthur originated from. The characters were developed quite well.... except for one, which is why i didnt give the movie a perfect rating: Merlin. They really didnt do much with him unfortunatly, and most of the time he was speaking a different language. I would have likes to see him more involved in the movie.

Otherwise, i enjoyed it alot. And Guinevere?? HOT!! [sex]

I hate to disagree with you Ender, but that movie sucked.

I was expecting so much more, given the cast, story and production crew (Bruckheimer and the Pirates of the Carribbean crew)...

It could've been so much better...

Pros:

Cast. Arthur was great, Kiera Knightly was hot as hell, the Knights were awesome...especially the guy with the Katana and the Bird...he was my favorite character.
Story. It was a new take on the whole King Arthur bit. Interesting enough.

Battle Sequence. The Ice sequence was cool, but could've been better...

Cons:

Story. Multiple plotlines with little time to develop them. Unnecessary plotlines seemed like they were thrown in there. They should've stuck to one story (Gwieniviere and Arthur perhaps?) and run with it. Instead they bounced from the 4 main stories (The knights saving the Bishop, Rescuing the kid, Gweieniviere & Arthur, and the final battle) without really resolving any of them.

Characters. Not nearly developed enough. Agree with you about Merlin. It was like...Hi I'm Merlin. The End. I was pissed.

Camera. They went for the whole "we're on horseback, look at the camera shake like you're on a horse" WAAAAAYYYYY too much.

Dialogue. Some cheesy parts thrown in there.

Battle Sequences. You can't have a movie like this with a PG-13 rating. It just doesn't work. The battle sequences were poorly done, weak special effects, and right before someone would get stabbed it would cut away. I was waiting for them to push the envelope (the way Lord of the Rings did) and show some actual violence, but they reserved it for arrows sticking out of chests, and some blood on the ground. Not the most important thing (blood and gore) but if you don't have the fight sequences done perfectly in a movie like this, it's going to suck.

I was pissed because I was expecting so much more.

2 out of 5 [Mad] [Mad]
2 for the cast, and Kiera Knightly. mmmmm...
