Every single time I call Qwest I can’t believe they are still in business. This probably explains why they are selling off qwest.net to MSN. Three days ago Qwest was supposed to switch us to Usinternet…. I didn’t get done.

So I call Usinternet and they tell me they are waiting for two numbers from Qwest (VPI & VCI) – they give me a phone number. I call it, the qwest person tells me I have called the wrong place – gives me a different number. I call the new number, person tells me I have called the wrong number – gives me a new number. I call the new number, person tells me I have called the wrong number – gives me a new number (same as the first). I recall the DSL support center and they try to pass me off, but I finally get the two numbers from them. I call back Usinternet with the numbers – they say great but Qwest still hasn’t pointed our DSL to them. I ask what to do next the guy tells me to just wait….. I ask if there is anyone I can call and he says “nope” you just have to wait. I call Qwest back again anyway and after 15 minutes on hold I find out that somehow my order was cancelled (so I guess I would have been waiting a long time if I didn’t call). We now have to wait until next Tuesday and then I need to have Usinternet call them and finalize the switch…..

I can’t believe that these companies (all the ISP’s) can’t work together better. Why should I have to get involved at all?

Why the fuck do you have to wait until next Tuesday?!?! There isn't any labor involved in changing over. It's not like they have to come out and change you over to a different line to connect to USI. Isn't it all done from their office? Fucking lazy fucks!!!

Kudos to USI for everything working the first time. After all my DSL experience with Qwest/USWest in the past, I was expecting at least a week downtime getting everything to work with USI. Thursday after work I cleared the router and entered USI's config data into the router and internet access was available immediately, no problems. What a refreshing change!

Called these jackasses again today about faster DSL - they changed their story again for about the 100 time. We don't even qualify for DSL he said.

So I put in the order to up (uncap) the speed of our DSL line about a week ago. They said they could have it done within a week - I was skeptical of course. The due date was yesterday 8/21. With the speed increase a new router is needed because the faster speeds are a different type of DSL. So yesterday the line was uncapped and switched over to the newer DSL..... and guess what? no router [Mad] , so no service. I had a feeling Qworst would have problems doing two things at once (placing the upgrade order and having the router there on time), so I called on Monday morning to check on the order. The complete idiot that I talked to informed me that whomever placed the original order forgot to order the router or the order was lost. I quickly asked for a supervisor and requested they place the order ASAP and next day the router. He agreed. This was Monday morning so worst case it dosen't go out until Tuesday - I still get it Wednesday (the day the DSL is switched over). I call yesterday (the due day) for a tracking number, they call the warehouse and give me one that dosen't show up in UPS system yet. I ask the guy when it shipped..... spend 20 minutes on hold, finally he says today and that next day air was requested. I get in this morning, check the tracking number and the fuckers sent it 2nd day air so it won't be here until Friday. [brd]

I hope Qwest folds like a cheap card table. [fight]

Continuing where I left off.... The modem arrived last Friday. I plugged it in and using the web interface configured it but it couldn't connect to US Internet. I called Qwest they blame USI, I call USI they find that qwest changed a bunch of setting and I finally connect. I check the web interface and it shows I am only connected at 640/160 so I call Qwest and they confirm I am only gettin 160up. They blame the lines and start the whole "your house dosen't support that speed" shit. Finally, they offer to send someone out to look at the house and test the lines. Scheduled for last Saturday but in true qwest fashion they never show. I keep calling and they keep promising to come the next day. Last night I check the web interface on the router and I am now gettting 640/640. I call to see what they found out and guess what? They had a bunch of setting wrong in their computers/equipment the whole time. [Confused]

We have a 1 meg line at work through USinternet. We also have all of our web stuff hosted there and our external mail too. We had a big problem with our connection slowing down down down and then us having to cycle our router. It was Qwest's problem the whole time. IT is always Qwest's problem! The guys at USinternet are pretty decent about ruling out stuff on their side.

Gisel, I was looking at the picture page and I do have to admit, you look pretty good for a gaming female. Having said that, don't expect any sympathy when we meet on the battlefield. I am a fighter first, lover second.
