No vice city yet so I bought The Two Towers on PS2 which came out last week. My impression so far is good. You pretty much follow the movies larger battles from the beginning of fellowship to the end of the Two Towers. The game incorporates cut scenes from both movies in with the game play (can't wait to see the Two Towers cut scenes when I get that far). Game play is pretty simple - you fight as either Legolas, Gimli, or Aragorn. It's a 3rd person game with incredible graphics and lighting effects. Depending on how well you do during the fight you get points to buy skill upgrades like better arrows or a new move. I am almost to the end of fellowship with Legolas. When I finish the game anyone who wants to borrow it is welcome to it.

Gisel, I was looking at the picture page and I do have to admit, you look pretty good for a gaming female. Having said that, don't expect any sympathy when we meet on the battlefield. I am a fighter first, lover second.

Not really. It's more like a classic console game. You have a bunch of different moves to do - such as speed attack, strong attack, block, knock back, fire ranged weapon, kill enemy knocked to ground. There is no inventory other then the weapon you start with and upgrade depending on your player. It is like Diablo because it's 3rd person and you are against lots of orcs at once - but the focus is on fighting not inventory management.

Single player only. It probably is like gauntlet. I will let you borrow it when I am finished - I know you have nothing to do at home with no internet...lol

If this game is as true to the Two Towers as it was to the first movie, I can see why some fans are bitching because the story has been changed in the movie. Not that changes are bad but they have added a bunch of stuff.

Currently am working through

Morrowind
Neverwinter nights (taking a break)
Jedi Outcast
Dave Mirra BMX 2 for the PS2

Help. I got this last week. Cool so far. Totally stuck on one spot Scott. After you've finished the Fellowship part, and have just entered Fangor Forest. One of the first things you have to do is kill another cave troll thats chucking logs at you. And the whole battle is on a little narrow path thats blocked at both ends.

HOW THE HELL DO YOU GET PAST THIS?????

None of the characters can take the beast headon, and there's no room to avoid him for very long.
I thought mabey your supposed to get the troll to throw the logs at the fence blocking the path, but that didn't work.... I haven't looked online for tips yet, and it sounds like your past this.

any ideas????

Use the health cheat [Smile] (hold down all 4 top buttons - while holding these down hit triangle - up - box - down)

Or

I found that the leap backwards button (one of the top buttons) was the key to getting past most "bosses". Block the logs until he rests for a sec, then run in and hit it once with the strong attack - then quickly hit jump back once or twice. Rinse and repeat!
