Last night I built a mini system for my step Dad using the Bios Star IDeq 200N ($250) case/motherboard. Pretty cool design if you only need one HD, one floppy, one CDROM or need to build a LAN party machine. I found the case a good design - all the cables are routed through the walls and supports to give max air flow in the case. The CPU cooler that is included routes the CPU heatsink air right out the back. A bit tough to work inside the case due to the size but once everything is installed it's nice. The cost for the entire system was a bit over $700: Barton 2500XP 512m 3200 RAM Seagate 80Gig SATA 7200.2 52X CDRW Sony Floppy GF4 4200Ti 128 (there in onboard also)
They also just released a case/MB that supports the new 64bit clawhammer..... I think it's $350. The cheapest 64bit chip is around $250 at the moment.

If anyone is looking to build a cheap mini system the prices are finally coming down. This Bio-star 333FSB mini-system is only $155 at newegg now. All you need is a Hard drive, processor, and memory and you have a nice little system.
I have built two of them for people now and they are very nice. All the cables are hidden - it supports SATA hard drives, 5.1 sound, built in video and one AGP slot. Fan is built in with a neat radiator type system.
