Sometimes during a wikipedia surfing session you come accross some very interesting, intriguing, and funny things you never knew existed! Park them here....i'll start, two totally unrelated examples...

Was shown a bunch of video's of the this when being trained by USDA-WS for moose and bird hazing at Airports my first summer in AK... The most surprising one was one shot across the top of a F16 canopy (its a clear bubble style cover)... you would be amazed at how flexible that canopy is, it was able to deform enough that the chicken basically put a seam in the top of the canopy (and then it reformed). It literally touched the head of the pilot dummy occupying the seat but didn't break. It looked like a balloon being deformed.

Bird strikes cause big money damage, really big money when you add the military to commercial aircraft...
